Qarbani
/ My Offerings
SCRIPTURES should be read first
Yeshua is Yahweh's
ultimate offering!
The Biblical,
future “Renewed Covenant” (Heb. Brit Hadashah) is a confused subject
today because of the popular doctrine of a present “New Covenant.” This modern
doctrine is promoted by calling the Apostolic writings “The New Testament,” and
by denying the God of the ancients, Yahweh, as the God of Grace. Both God and
His Word are wrongly seen as changed to something “Christian,” with “Christ”
also being a mostly misunderstood word.
Commentary:
In many of
our Bibles (e.g., NASB, KJV, RSV, NIV), in Mark 7:11, we see the term “Corban.”
The context is Yeshua reproving some hypocrites, who say that they cannot
support their parents because any such means in their possession is dedicated as
“Corban” – an offering to God.
“Corban” is a
transliteration – a Hebrew word written in English letters (as previously
written in Greek letters). “Qarbani,” the possessive form, is the Hebrew
word that titles today’s Torah portion (Numbers 28-29). It means “My offering,”
and since God is the speaker, it means God’s offering. While it is generally
understood that this means an offering that belongs to God, consider this: it
can mean an offering made by God! This is not to imply that only one of the
meanings is intended, but rather that God requires us to bring His earthly
(animal and grain) offerings to portray His heavenly (Messiah) offering.
The traditional “three
interpretations” may be readily seen here – the literal, the prophetic,
and the spiritual. (A) There are ordinances: we are required to bring
material offerings – animals and grain. (B) There is prophecy: God
provides His offering – Messiah. (C) There is spiritual meaning: we are
to be His offering.
These three are
interrelated. The offerings of the ordinances represent the souls of the
bringers. They also prophetically portray Yeshua. Yeshua was offered in
our stead: He represents us being offered. We owe our lives to Him as an
offering.
The animals offered were to
be spotless. Yeshua was the perfect offering. We are commanded to be
perfect, as offerings to God.
A.
LITERAL (Ordinances)
1. Past – “This is the offering by fire which you shall offer
to Yahweh” (Numbers 28:3).
2. Future – “This is the offering
that you shall offer” (Ezekiel 45:13).

B.
PROPHETIC – “For
by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified”
(Hebrews 10:14).
Hebrews 10
requires close scrutiny, in order to understand that which is our hope for the
future, and that which is our means of instruction for now.
The subject
is things to come. The first line (v.1) refers to “good things to come,” and
Torah having shadows of them. The “things to come” are promises of God for which
we patiently wait. “Things to come” include the return of Messiah, and our final
redemption.
“Let us
hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is
faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good
deeds” – v.23-24.
“Our hope”
and “He who promised is faithful” obviously have to do with things to
come.
Torah’s
Sabbaths and Festivals, with their offerings, foreshadow “things to come” These
shadow-pictures are designed and commanded by God: they are not (as some
versions state) “mere shadows” or “only shadows”. They are God’s instructive
pictures to us. This teaching is for both Hebrews and Gentiles.
[To Hebrews]
“The Torah, since it has a shadow of the ‘good things to come,’. . .” –
v.1.
[To Gentiles]
“. . . a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day – things which are a
shadow of ‘what is to come;’ the body (casting the shadow) being Messiah”
– Colossians 2:16-17.
God prepared
for Himself an offering: “My offering” (qarbani) is Yeshua! As Yahweh
commanded, “You shall be careful to present My offering . . . at their
appointed time,” so Yeshua was crucified at exactly the appointed time – “between
the evenings” on Nisan 14 (Leviticus 23:6).
Yeshua will
return, and then we will be perfected, and sin will be remembered no more. For
now, there is still chastisement for sin, and repentance is still required.
There is still sickness and death, because sin is not yet forgotten. Where it is
written (v.17), “And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no
more”, it refers to “those days” (v.16) defined in Jeremiah 31:31-34:
“Behold,
days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will make a renewed Covenant with the
house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made
with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the
land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,”
declares Yahweh. “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of
Israel after those days,” declares Yahweh, “I will put My law within them, and
on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My
people. And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his
brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of
them to the greatest of them,” declares Yahweh, “for I will forgive their
iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
Under this
Renewed Covenant, everyone will “know Yahweh, from the least to the greatest,”
and evangelization will be unnecessary, making obvious that it is part of the
“good things to come.”
This Renewed
Covenant will not be new in its intent, which is to bring us to love God and
neighbor; it will be new in the way it is applied – to the heart instead of
written letters on stone or parchment. Today we must still read and learn God’s
ways; after our final redemption, we will naturally and wholeheartedly follow
God.
C.
SPIRITUAL – “We will bless Yahweh . . .
forever” (Psalm 115:18).
“Therefore I urge
you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy
sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and
acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:1-2).
“You also, as living
stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer
up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Yeshua the Messiah” (1 Peter
2:5)

HEBREWS 10 – The
Renewed Covenant
The
offerings from the Torah that portray Yeshua (Jesus) until He comes (future) are
contrasted here to how His offering of Himself applies to the future eternal
state. Until the end of the Sabbath Millennium – the thousand-year reign of
Yeshua on this earth, God will require animal and grain offerings (when there is
a Temple in Jerusalem). When the earth is renewed by fire and perfected, there
will be no remembrance of sin, and no death – human or animal.
BACKGROUND
Several
years after Yeshua’s crucifixion, Paul offered required animals at the Temple
for the completion of Nazarite vows.
Acts
21:
20
And when they [disciples at Jerusalem] heard it they began glorifying
God; and they said to him [Paul], "You see, brother, how many thousands
there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous
for the Law; 21 and they have been told about you, that you are
teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them
not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs. 22
"What, then, is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come. 23
"Therefore do this that we tell you. We have four men who are under a [Nazarite]
vow; 24 take them and purify yourself along with them, and pay their
expenses so that they may shave their heads; and all will know that there is
nothing to the things which they have been told about you, but that you yourself
also walk orderly, keeping the Law. . . . 26 Then Paul took the
men, and the next day, purifying himself along with them, went into the temple
giving notice of the completion of the days of purification, until the sacrifice
was offered for each one of them.
Numbers
6:
13
Now this is the law of the Nazirite when the days of his separation are
fulfilled, he shall bring the offering to the doorway of the tent of meeting.
14 He shall present his offering to Yahweh: one male lamb a year old
without defect for an elevation offering and one ewe-lamb a year old without
defect for a sin offering and one ram without defect for a peace offering . .
. 21
This is the law of the Nazirite who vows his offering to Yahweh according to his
separation, in addition to what else he can afford; according to his vow which
he takes, so he shall do according to the law of his separation.
Before the
world is renewed by fire, when Yeshua reigns for the final thousand years of
this world, (see Revelation 20), there will be a Temple of the Holy One in
Jerusalem, with animal offerings being required.
Ezekiel
46:
1
Thus says Lord Yahweh, “The gate of the inner court facing east shall be shut
the six working days; but it shall be opened on the Sabbath day and opened on
the day of the new moon. 2 The prince shall enter by way of the porch
of the gate from outside and stand by the post of the gate. Then the priests
shall provide his elevation offering and his peace offerings, and he shall
worship at the threshold of the gate and then go out; but the gate shall not be
shut until the evening. 3 The people of the land shall also worship
at the doorway of that gate before Yahweh on the Sabbaths and on the new moons.
4 The elevation offering which the prince shall offer to Yahweh on
the Sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish and a ram without blemish;
5 and the grain offering shall be an ephah with the ram, and the
grain offering with the lambs as much as he is able to give, and a hin of oil
with an ephah. 6 On the day of the new moon he shall offer a
young bull without blemish, also six lambs and a ram, which shall be
without blemish. 7 "And he shall provide a grain offering, an ephah
with the bull and an ephah with the ram, and with the lambs as much as he is
able, and a hin of oil with an ephah.”
After the
earth is restored to perfection, weekly Sabbaths and other times will still be
observed, as they were from creation; sin and death will have been abolished.
2 Peter
3:
13
But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in
which righteousness dwells.
Revelation 21:
1
Then
I saw new heavens and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth
passed away. . . 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their
eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any
mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.
Isaiah
66:
22 “For just as the new heavens and the new earth which I make will
endure before Me,” declares Yahweh, “So your offspring and your name will
endure. 23 And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from Sabbath
to Sabbath, all mankind will come to bow down before Me,” says Yahweh.
The
Renewed Covenant is defined in Jeremiah 31 for a yet future time. It applies to
a time when everyone will know God, and there will be no more remembrance of
sin. This is the “New Covenant” referenced in Hebrews 10. (The term “New
Covenant” is erroneously applied to the Holy Books of Matthew through
Revelation.)
Jeremiah 31 –
30:23
Behold, the tempest of Yahweh! Wrath has gone forth, a sweeping tempest; it will
burst on the head of the wicked. 24 The fierce anger of Yahweh will
not turn back until He has performed and until He has accomplished the intent of
His heart; in the latter days you will understand this. 31:1
“At that time,” declares Yahweh, “I will be the God of all the families of
Israel, and they shall be My people.” . . . .
31
“Behold, days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the
covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to
bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I
was a husband to them," declares Yahweh. 33 “But this is the covenant
which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares Yahweh,
“I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be
their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will not teach again,
each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahweh,’ for they
will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares
Yahweh, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no
more.”
Psalm 40
contains the messianic prophecy quoted in Hebrews 10.
Psalm
40:
6
Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened;
elevation offering and sin offering You have not required. 7 Then I
said, “Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me. 8
I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Torah is within my heart.”
The Text
Note: This applies to future!
Intro: Hebrews 9: 27 And
inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,
28 so Messiah also, having been offered once to bear the sins of
many, will appear a second time for salvation [future]
without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Hebrews
10:
1
For the Torah, since it has a shadow of the good things to come and not the very
form of things, can never, by the same offerings which they offer continually
year by year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would
they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been
cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins? 3 But in
those offerings there is a reminder of sins year by year. 4 For it is
impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
[Animal offerings never took away sins!]
5
Therefore, when He comes [not past tense]
into the world, He says, [Psalm 40:6-8]
"SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR
ME; 6 IN WHOLE ELEVATION OFFERINGS AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU
HAVE TAKEN NO PLEASURE. 7 THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME (IN THE
SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.'"
8
After saying above, "SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND WHOLE ELEVATION OFFERINGS AND
OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED, NOR HAVE YOU TAKEN PLEASURE in
them" (which are offered according to the Torah), 9 then He said,
"BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL." He takes away the first in order to
establish the second.
10
By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Yeshua
the Messiah once for all. 11 Every priest stands daily ministering
and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away
sins; 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time,
SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, 13 waiting from that time onward
UNTIL [future] HIS ENEMIES BE MADE A
FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. 14 For by one offering He has perfected for
all time those who are sanctified.
15
And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, 16
[Jeremiah 31] "THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I
WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON
THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM," He then says, 17
"AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
18
Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any
offering for sin. 19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to
enter the holy place by the blood of Yeshua, 20 by a new and living
way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21
and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let
us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure
water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without
wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how
to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our
own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another;
and all the more as you see the day drawing near. 26 For if we go on
sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer
remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of
judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. 28
Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony
of two or three witnesses. 29 How much severer punishment do you
think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has
regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and
has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said,
"VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY." And again, "THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."
31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32
But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great
conflict of sufferings, 33 partly by being made a public spectacle
through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those
who were so treated. 34 For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and
accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for
yourselves a better possession and a lasting one. 35 Therefore, do
not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you
have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may
receive what was promised. 37 FOR YET IN
A VERY LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME [future],
AND WILL NOT DELAY. 38 BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; AND
IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM. 39 But we are not
of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the
preserving of the soul.
Then: Hebrews 11: 1 Now
faith is the assurance of things hoped for [future],
the conviction of things not seen.
(V.10) for we are looking for a city [future]
that has firm foundations, whose architect and builder is God! We are
partakers of that promise to Abraham! (See Eph 2:12, 3:6, & Gal 3:8.)

your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no
laborious work. 27 'You shall offer an elevation offering for a
soothing aroma to Yahweh: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs one year
old; 28 and their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil:
three-tenths of an ephah for each bull, two-tenths for the one ram, 29
a tenth for each of the seven lambs; 30 also one male goat to make
atonement for you. 31 'Besides the continual elevation offering and
its grain offering, you shall present them with their drink offerings. They
shall be without defect.
Reader 5*
Amen. 29:1 'Now in
the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy
convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing
trumpets. 2 'You shall offer an elevation offering as a soothing
aroma to Yahweh: one bull, one ram, and seven male lambs one year old without
defect; 3 also their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil:
three-tenths of an ephah for the bull, two-tenths for the ram, 4 and
one-tenth for each of the seven lambs. 5 'Offer one male goat for a
sin offering, to make atonement for you, 6 besides the elevation
offering of the new moon and its grain offering, and the continual elevation
offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings, according to their
ordinance, for a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to Yahweh. 7
'Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation,
and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work. 8 'You
shall present an elevation offering to Yahweh as a soothing aroma: one bull, one
ram, seven male lambs one year old, having them without defect; 9 and
their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for
the bull, two-tenths for the one ram, 10 a tenth for each of the
seven lambs; 11 one male goat for a sin offering, besides the sin
offering of atonement and the continual elevation offering and its grain
offering, and their drink offerings.

Amen. 12 'Then on
the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you
shall do no laborious work, and you shall observe a feast to Yahweh for seven
days. 13 'You shall present an elevation offering, an offering by
fire as a soothing aroma to Yahweh: thirteen bulls, two rams, fourteen male
lambs one year old, which are without defect; 14 and their grain
offering, fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for each of the
thirteen bulls, two-tenths for each of the two rams, 15 and a tenth
for each of the fourteen lambs; 16 and one male goat for a sin
offering, besides the continual elevation offering, its grain offering and its
drink offering. 17 'Then on the second day: twelve bulls, two rams,

offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams and for the
lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; 19 and one male
goat for a sin offering, besides the continual elevation offering and its grain
offering, and their drink offerings. 20 'Then on the third day:
eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; 21
and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams
and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; 22 and
one male goat for a sin offering, besides the continual elevation offering and
its grain offering and its drink offering. 23 'Then on the fourth
day: ten bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs one year old without defect;
24 their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the
rams and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; 25
and one male goat for a sin offering, besides the continual elevation offering,
its grain offering and its drink offering. 26 'Then on the fifth day:
nine bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs one year old without defect; 27
and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams
and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; 28 and

and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams
and for the lambs, by their number according to the ordinance; 34 and
one male goat for a sin offering, besides the continual elevation offering, its
grain offering and its drink offering.

Amen. 35 'On the
eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly; you shall do no laborious work.
36 'But you shall present a burnt offering, an offering by fire, as a
soothing aroma to Yahweh: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs one year old
without defect; 37 their grain offering and their drink offerings for
the bull, for the ram and for the lambs, by their number according to the
ordinance; 38 and one male goat for a sin offering, besides the
continual elevation offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.
39 'You shall present these to Yahweh at your appointed times, besides
your votive offerings and your freewill offerings, for your elevation offerings
and for your grain offerings and for your drink offerings and for your peace
offerings.'" 40 Moses spoke to the sons of Israel in accordance with
all that Yahweh had commanded Moses.
"Blessed are You, Yahweh our God, King
of the Universe,
Who in giving us Yeshua, the Living
Torah, has planted everlasting life in our midst.
Blessed are You, Yahweh, giver of the
Torah."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Blessed are You, Yahweh our God, King
of the Universe,
Who selected good prophets, delighting
in their words which were spoken truthfully.
Blessed are You, Yahweh, Who chose the
Torah, Your servant Moses, Your people Israel,
and the prophets of truth and
righteousness."
Ezekiel 45:13-25
13 "This is the offering that you shall
offer: a sixth of an ephah from a homer of wheat; a sixth of an ephah from a
homer of barley; 14 and the prescribed portion of oil (namely, the bath of oil),
a tenth of a bath from each kor (which is ten baths or a homer, for ten baths
are a homer); 15 and one sheep from each flock of two hundred from the watering
places of Israel – for a grain offering, for an elevation offering, and for
peace offerings, to make atonement for them," declares Lord Yahweh. 16 "All the
people of the land shall give to this offering for the prince in Israel. 17 "And
it shall be the prince's part to provide the elevation offerings, the grain
offerings, and the libations, at the feasts, on the new moons, and on the
Sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he shall provide
the sin offering, the grain offering, the elevation offering, and the peace
offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel." 18 'Thus says Lord
Yahweh, "In the first month, on the first of the month, you shall take a young
bull without blemish and cleanse the sanctuary. 19 "And the priest shall take
some of the blood from the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the
house, on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the posts of the
gate of the inner court. 20 "And thus you shall do on the seventh day of the
month for everyone who goes astray or is naive; so you shall make atonement for
the house. 21 "In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall
have the Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22
"And on that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the
land a bull for a sin offering. 23 "And during the seven days of the feast he
shall provide as an elevation offering to Yahweh seven bulls and seven rams
without blemish on every day of the seven days, and a male goat daily for a sin
offering. 24 "And he shall provide as a grain offering an ephah with a bull, an
ephah with a ram, and a hin of oil with an ephah. 25 "In the seventh month, on
the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast, he shall provide like this, seven
days for the sin offering, the elevation offering, the grain offering, and the
oil."
Psalm 115
1 Not to us,
Yahweh, not to us, but to Thy name give glory because of Thy lovingkindness,
because of Thy truth. 2 Why should the nations say, "Where, now, is their God?"
3 But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. 4 Their idols are
silver and gold, the work of man's hands. 5 They have mouths, but they cannot
speak; they have eyes, but they cannot see; 6 they have ears, but they cannot
hear; they have noses, but they cannot smell; 7 they have hands, but they cannot
feel; they have feet, but they cannot walk; they cannot make a sound with their
throat. 8 Those who make them will become like them, everyone who trusts in
them. 9 O Israel, trust in Yahweh; He is their help and their shield. 10 O house
of Aaron, trust in Yahweh; He is their help and their shield. 11 You who fear
Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; He is their help and their shield. 12 Yahweh has been
mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will
bless the house of Aaron. 13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh, the small
together with the great. 14 May Yahweh give you increase, you and your children.
15 May you be blessed of Yahweh, Maker of heaven and earth. 16 The heavens are
the heavens of Yahweh; but the earth He has given to the sons of men. 17 The
dead do not praise Yahweh, nor do any who go down into silence; 18 but as for
us, we will bless Yahweh from this time forth and forever. Praise Yahweh!
Hebrews 10
1 For the Law,
since it has a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of
things, can never by the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer
continually, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have
ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would
no longer have had consciousness of sins? 3 But in those sacrifices there is a
reminder of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and
goats to take away sins. 5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,
"Sacrifice and offering Thou hast not desired, but a body Thou hast prepared for
Me; 6 in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast taken no
pleasure. 7 "Then I said, 'Behold, I have come (In the roll of the book it is
written of Me) To do Thy will, O God.'" 8 After saying above, "Sacrifices and
offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou hast not
desired, nor hast Thou taken pleasure in them" (which are offered according to
the Law), 9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Thy will." He takes away
the first in order to establish the second. 10 By this will we have been
sanctified through the offering of the body of Yeshua Messiah once for all. 11
And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same
sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 12 but He, having offered one
sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting
from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. 14 For
by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. 15 And
the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, 16 "This is the
covenant that I will make with them after those days, says Yahweh: I will put My
laws upon their heart, and upon their mind I will write them," He then says, 17
"And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." 18 Now where
there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.
19 Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the
blood of Yeshua, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through
the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house
of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed
with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without
wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to
stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own
assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and
all the more, as you see the day drawing near. 26 For if we go on sinning
willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a
sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain terrifying expectation of judgment, and the
fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has set aside
the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled
under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant
by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know
Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay." And again, "Yahweh will judge
His people." 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living
God. 32 But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured
a great conflict of sufferings, 33 partly, by being made a public spectacle
through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those
who were so treated. 34 For you showed sympathy to the prisoners, and accepted
joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a
better possession and an abiding one. 35 Therefore, do not throw away your
confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that
when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. 37 For
yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay. 38
But My righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, My soul has no
pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but
of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.
"Blessed are You, Yahweh
our God, King of the Universe,
Rock of Ages, righteous
throughout all generations.
You are the faithful God,
promising and then performing, speaking and then fulfilling,
for all Your words are true
and righteous.
Faithful are You, Yahweh
our God, and faithful are Your words,
for no word of Yours shall
remain unfulfilled;
You are a faithful and
merciful God and King.
Blessed are You, Yahweh our
God, Who are faithful in fulfilling all Your words.
